Allana was a player for Australia in Rugby Sevens in 2013, then consecutive knee injuries forced Allana to stay off the field for several years before making the transition back to league. Allana was the first woman to make her debut in rugby league against Queensland in New South Wales. Allana has added radio to her repertoire regularly appearing on the top-rating Continuous Call Team on 2GB. In addition to her work in sport, Allana is a trained teacher. Allana Ferguson has the unique accomplishment of playing for Australia in three sports that include rugby sevens (rugby league) along with touch, and also rugby union.
